摘要：The invention relates to a device for transporting fluids, in particular cutting fluids comprising residual matter from production processes. Said device is equipped with a vertical pump comprising a pump housing (14) and a pump impeller (13), in addition to a drive shaft (19), an electric motor and a shaft connection between the electric motor and the pump impeller (13). The drive shaft (19) is surrounded by a housing (18). The pump housing (14) has an inlet opening (15) and a fluid delivery opening (16). When the pump is started, a negative pressure is generated in the housing (18) surrounding the drive shaft (19), said pressure continuing into the pump housing (14) by means of the gap (22) between the shaft (19) and the housing (18), thus guaranteeing the intake of fluid even when the level of the latter is extremely low.
