摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability in a light pickup apparatus and a light output control circuit used by the light pickup apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The light output control circuit comprises a reference signal increase/decrease circuit for increasing/decreasing a reference signal; a target signal conversion circuit for converting the reference signal outputted from the reference signal increasing/decreasing circuit into a target signal; a comparison signal conversion circuit for converting an electric signal, corresponding to the quantity of light emitted to a record medium from a light-irradiating apparatus to a comparison signal; and a control signal generation circuit for generating a control signal for controlling the quantity of light irradiated from the light-irradiating apparatus by comparing the target signal with the comparison signal. In this case, the target signal conversion circuit and the comparison signal conversion circuit are composed so that they decrease or increase an amplification factor, in linking with the increase or decrease in the reference signal by the reference signal increase/decrease circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
