摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically designate the traveling direction or safe traveling route of an airplane by effectively using a taxiway center line lights set at the taxiway of an airport. SOLUTION: This airport light monitor and control system is provided with safety securing blocks 4a to 4d set at prescribed distances on a taxiway 1, a plurality of taxiway center line light groups 5a to 5d whose lighting is controllable for each of the blocks for securing safety in the taxiway, airplane detecting sensors 6 to 8 set in each of the adjacent blocks for securing safety, and a light monitor and control processing part 12 for performing lighting/lights-out control for each of the taxiway center line lamp groups in each of the blocks for securing safety with the use of information showing whether a prescribed condition is satisfied or not and information showing the presence /absence of airplane detection by the airplane detecting means. This control processing part lights the taxiway center line lamp groups arrayed in the blocks for securing the frontward safety of the airplane existing on the taxiway, and puts out lights of the taxiway center line lamp groups arrayed in the blocks for securing safety so that at least one safety block can be secured in the rear part of the airplane.
