摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whereby one operator can easily extract output paper even when the other operator makes operation by an operation section, and even a handicapped operator can easily turn an image reader. <P>SOLUTION: When a turning start button 33 is depressed, as shown (b) in Figure, the image reader 1 integrated with the operation section 32 and having an ADF 5 on its upper face is horizontally turned by about 90 degrees and comes to a stop. The turning operation opens an upper face of a paper discharge tray 31 so as to allow other operator than the operator using the operation section 32 to make settings to take out recorded paper from the paper discharge tray 31. Since a space with a width m is formed to a lower part of the operation section 32 in the turning state, even the operator using the operation section 32 to make settings and riding on a wheel chair can make the settings without any hindrance. A second paper discharge tray is provided to a lower part of the operation section 32 and the discharge destination is automatically switched to the second paper discharge tray attended with the turning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
