摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber free of deterioration of long-term transmission characteristics. SOLUTION: A resin solution for optical fiber coating is used, wherein the number of foreign particles having≥0.5μm minimum length and harder than the resin after hardening is <500/mL, preferably <100/mL. The resin solution is applied to a bare optical fiber and hardened to form a coating layer. This coating layer is preferably a primary coating layer which contacts directly with the bare optical fiber but can be a secondary coating layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
