摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve preservation property in a primary battery that comprises a positive electrode 2 made of manganese dioxide and a negative electrode 1 made of lithium or lithium alloy. <P>SOLUTION: In the battery, manganese dioxide containing boron and phosphorus is used for a positive electrode and the content of boron is for example 0.1-2 wt.% and the content of phosphorus is for example 0.02-2 wt.%. The boron is contained in the manganese dioxide, desirably, by adding a boric oxide, and it is desirable that the phosphorus is contained by manufacturing the manganese dioxide by electrolytic oxidation from the electrolytic bath added with phosphoric acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
