摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protecting airbag device ensuring prompt deploying/ expanding of an airbag, simplifying a connecting structure between an inflator and the airbag, and reducing assembling man-hours and a cost. SOLUTION: In this head protecting airbag device M1, a connecting port 19 letting expanding gas G flow into an expanding portion 14 of an airbag 11 comprises an outflow side portion 21 having a communicating port 21a to the expanding portion at a lower end, and an inflow side portion 20 in which an inflator 36 is inserted. The inflator comprises a main body portion 37 having a gas discharging port 42; and a diffuser 45 covering the gas discharging port, fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the main body portion at both ends by press-contacting, and having gas outflow ports 49.50. The inflator is connected to the connecting port portion while keeping a sealing property, and arranged so as to make the gas outflow ports 49.50 oppose to the communicating port 21a of the connecting portion 19 and face to the expanding portion 14 side.
