摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber having good color tone (b-value), presenting good water/moisture absorbency, scarcely generating spinneret deposits even if continuously spun for a long time through a spinneret, and good at formability, and to provide a method for producing the polyester fiber. SOLUTION: This polyester fiber is produced by the following process: in producing the polyester, a compound prepared by reaction between a specific titanium compound and a phosphorus compound is used as the polycondensation catalyst, and at any stage prior to completing synthesizing the polyester, a specific organic sulfonic acid metal salt is incorporated, and the resultant polyester composition is made into fiber and part of the organic sulfonic acid metal salt in the resultant fiber is then removed by the aid of an aqueous solution of an alkaline compound to form micropores on the cross section of the fiber.
