摘要：<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen unpleasant feeling attributed to malodor at the time of starting operation. SOLUTION: Operation is carried out at a low air blow rate (2 m<3> /min) for 2 miniutes from the time of turning on the switch. After that, operation is carried out at a prescribed air blow rate (for example, in the case of high power operation, 10 m<3> /min), which is previously set. To malodor generation, the smelling sense of human being is sensitive at first and becomes less sensitive with the lapse of time. Although malodor comes out an air cleaner apparatus when an operation starting instruction is given to operate a fan, the air blow rate is suppressed so low for 2 minutes from the time of turning on the switch, that is the initial period during which the smelling sense of human being is high, that the emission quantity of malodorous components is small and consequently, the unpleasant feeling attributed to malodor at the time of starting operation can be lessened. The period during which the air blow rate is suppressed to be low is not limited to 2 minutes or the air blow value can be gradually increased from a low air flow rate.</p>
