摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform bending work to form a prescribed angle while hardly affected by fluctuation in thickness by automatically adjusting the amount of opening between jaws to a work having fluctuation in thickness. SOLUTION: Bending conditions including the nominal thickness of the work and a prescribed bending angle are inputted and, on the basis of these bending conditions, the optimum deflection constant of a side plate is preliminarily calculated by a means 65 for calculating the optimum deflection constant of the side plate from a difference between an actual distance between edges of a die by which the prescribed bending angle is obtained in an arbitrary thickness which is the fluctuation to the nominal thickness, and an actual distance between the edges in the arbitrary different thicknesses, and the bending load at that time. The amount of the deflection of the side plate is calculated on the basis of the optimum deflection constant of the side plate and detected bending load detected during bending by a means 67 for calculating the amount of the deflection of the side plate. A value of the amount of the deflection of the side plate which is subtraced from the actual distance between the edges to the nominal thickness by a final D-value calculating means 69 is calculated as the final command distance between the edges and the bending work of the work is performed by a command from a bending work commanding part 71.
