摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer with which the radiation loss of light in a waveguide is decreased, thus the variation in the demultiplexed wavelength outputted from the light wavelength multiplexer/ demultiplexer is sufficiently suppressed. SOLUTION: The light wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer is composed of waveguides 2, 3 and 5 formed on a substrate 7, which demultiplex an incident light wave, shift the phases of the respective demultiplexed light waves and multiplex the respective light waves which are shifted in the phases. Three or more rectangular grooves 8a3 through 8e3 which transverse the waveguide 3 are independently formed on any part of the waveguide 3, the respective formed grooves are filled with an optical resin, further the width of the grooves 8a3 and 8e3 on both ends among the respective grooves 8a3 through 8e3 has a dimension of a half of the other grooves 8b3 through 8d3.
