摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging oblique feed in which the frequency for resetting a recording medium is decreased and waste of recording medium is reduced. SOLUTION: The judging unit 40 of a plotter 10 judges oblique feed by measuring the distance from a reference point 14a to one lateral side 12a three times. When a recording sheet 12 is damaged at a second position S2 on one lateral side 12a thereof, for example, oblique feed of the recording sheet 12 is judged while excluding the abnormal distance L2. Consequently, the recording sheet 12 is not judged to have been fed obliquely based on the distance detected by a distance measuring unit 21 when the recording sheet 12 is not fed obliquely but folded or damaged on one lateral side thereof.
