摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately sample multi-valued data from the reproduced signals of data recorded with a high recording density. SOLUTION: The reproduced signals of multi-valued data are converted from analog signals into digital signals by an A/D conversion part 1 on the basis of the clock of a period shorter than the period of the multi-valued data, and are stored into a memory 3. The pattern data of synchronous signals are detected from data in the memory 3 by a synchronous signal detecting part 4, and all the maximum values and minimum values are detected from the pattern data by a multi-valued data period calculation part 5. The time interval between adjacent maximum values and the time interval between adjacent minimum values are determined, and the half of the average value of all the time intervals is calculated as a period of multi-valued data. Data are sampled from information for each prescribed amount for each period by a data extracting part 6 by making either of each maximum value or each minimum value into a reference value, and are outputted.
