摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber code having sufficient strength and low transmission loss with a small diameter. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber code produced by surrounding a single coated optical fiber 1 or an coated optical fiber tape 2 with aromatic polyamide fibers 3 and further applying a plastic sheath 4 around the fibers 3, talc 10 is applied on the surface of the coated optical single fiber or the coated optical fiber tape to decrease the friction between the coated optical fibers and the aromatic polyamide fibers. Thus, even when the packing density of the aromatic polyamide fibers is increased, no strain is imposed on the coated optical fibers.
