摘要：<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for deodorizing malodous gas capable of suppressing an increase in the pressure loss of a packed bed and capable of enhancing the removal ratio of a malodous component to perform stable deodorization. SOLUTION: In a method for bringing malodorous gas 2 into contact with the packed bed 4 to which microorganisms for decomposing a malodorous component adheres to biologically deodorize the same, a filter constituted of humus, a magnesium salt and a silicate is used in the packed bed 4 or the filler constituted of humus, the magnesium salt and the silicate are together used in the packed bed 4. As the malodorous component, it is preferable to adapt volatile organic matter. When the pressure loss of the packed bed exceeds a prescribed value during deodorizing treatment, air containing no malodorous gas is passed through the packed bed to reduce the sludge amount of the packed bed.</p>
