摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic matter treating device by which the water content is optimally controlled in the progress of the application period of an microorganism carrier even if a heat capacity-type water content sensor is used. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a treating tank containing the carrier of an microorganism to decompose organic matter and decomposing the introduced organic matter such as garbage, a heat capacity-type water content sensor for detecting the water content in the treating tank, a means for regulating the water content in the tank and a controlling means for judging the water content obtained by the sensor on the basis of the water content data predetermined according to the progress of the application period of the microorganism carrier and controlling the water content regulating means.
