摘要：PURPOSE: A method and system for updating the contents of a toy is provided to operate old toys always without purchasing new toys and to create the profits of Internet sites by offering a pay service to download new contents to toys. CONSTITUTION: If a PC is turned on(S21), a download program is automatically executed and a device driver is initialized(S22). If the download program is executed, a toy communicates with the PC. The PC checks whether new toy update contents are necessary(S23). If new toy update contents are necessary, the PC is automatically connected with a web server that provides update contents(S24). The web server downloads suitable contents to update the existing contents of the toy to the PC through the download program(S25). The PC confirms whether the toy is in a near position enough to download the contents(S26). If the toy is within distance enough to communicate with the PC, the PC transmits the downloaded update contents to the toy(S27). If the existing contents of the toy are changed into the new contents normally, the recording DB of the PC is updated(S28). If the toy is normally updated, the download program transmits the update completion information of the toy to the web server(S29). The web server updates registration information for the toy(S30).
