摘要：<p>A method for preparing a certificate, wherein an engraving sheet (1) comprising an engraving layer (3) bonded to the rear surface of a surface layer (2) to be color-printed is used, an object of certification is imaged by a color printer and the color image is printed on the surface layer (2), and then the engraving layer (3) is subjected to engraving through the surface layer (2) by an engraving machine in response to one of image signals for black and three primary colors out of the imaged color image signals, whereby the engraving layer (3) is cut through the surface layer (2) in response to an engraving signal from the engraving machine and is therefore exposed to thereby prepare a difficult-to-forge certificate. A preparing device comprising a color printer for imaging an object of certification and printing the resultant color image on the surface layer (2), and an engraving machine for cutting the engraving layer (3) through the surface layer (2) in response to either one of image signals for black and three primary colors out of the color image signals.</p>
