摘要:A oxidation method which comprises reacting a substrate such as a hydrocarbon, an aldehyde, a ketone, or the like with molecular oxygen in the presence of (1) an oxidation catalyst comprising an imide compound such as N-hydroxyphthalimide or (2) an oxidation catalyst comprising such an imide compound and a cocatalytic oxidating agent such as a transition metal compound (for example, an oxide, a halide, a complex, a heteropolyacid, or the like), wherein the water content in the above oxidation system is 200 moles or less per mole of the imide compound. The oxidation method can be used for oxidizing the substrate with molecular oxygen with good efficiency under mild conditions into a desired compound having high quality.
