摘要：PURPOSE: A method for upgrading a flash memory of a vehicle navigation system is provided to perform an upgrade of the flash memory more easily. CONSTITUTION: In a method for upgrading a flash memory of a vehicle navigation system, after supplying a power to a system(100), a central processing unit reads data stored in a boot block of the flash memory to boot the system(102). After a booting operation, the central processing unit searches a start position of an application block in the flash memory(104). During performing a program read from the application block, a message is transferred to the central processing unit so as to fetch data of a specific part of a CD-Map(106). The data of the specific region in the application block is compared with the specific data of the CD-Map(108). If the data of the specific region in the application block is different from the specific data of the CD-Map, the central processing unit upgrades the specific data of the CD-Map to the application block(110), and then the program is completed(112).
