摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a garbage dryer which crushes and dries food or the like whose taste periods have lapsed so that the consumption of electric power is low and the size is compact, and which can be readily carried and set at individual shops. SOLUTION: A drying drum 2 picks up fed garbage and stirs it with the rotation of the drying drum itself, followed by crushing and agitating the raw refuse by means of a plurality of agitation blades 4 which rotate at a high speed. Then, the crushed refuse is dried by the heat generated by a heating chamber 3a which contains the drum, and processed into feed which takes a form suitable for handling and storage. The drying drum 2 is rotatable about the rotational axis of the agitation blades (blade axis 13) and is also rotatable free of axis, and thus the drying drum and the agitation blades are rotated at speeds which are different from each other by a single motor 1. The agitation blades 4 are arranged in a right-hand screw spiral and a left-hand screw spiral manners and uniform the height of the deposit of the crushed material. Further, a blower 16a directly circulates the heated air in the heating chamber 3a to the drying drum 2, thereby raising the drying efficiency.
