摘要：A pilger die assembly (47) in which the die (1) has an annular body (3) with an opening (11) extending from a central, through bore (5) to the peripheral surface (7). The opening (11) subtends a circumferential angle at the through bore (5) of less than 180 DEG . The cylindrical arbor (23) has a section of reduced cross-sectional dimension, preferably formed by a flat (29). The die (1) is positioned with the opening (11) aligned with the flat (29), slid into coaxial registration with the arbor (23), rotated to a captured position in which the opening (11) is no longer aligned with flat (29) on the arbor (23) and then pushed axially to engage a key (33) on the arbor in a keyway (13) extending axially from one side face of the die (1). A stop screw (39) threaded into the arbor (23) adjacent the other side face of the die (1) locks it in place.
