摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating aluminum dross residual ashes from which industrially useful alumina composition is obtained by removing harmful impurities efficiently in terms of resource and equipment from aluminum dross residual ashes. SOLUTION: Metallic aluminum or aluminum alloy is recovered from aluminum dross generated in an aluminum melting process for melting an aluminum raw material consisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy. Thereafter, 0.5-4 pts.wt. calcium hydroxide and 50-90 pts.wt. water are added to 100 pts.wt. aluminum dross residual ashes and these are allowed to react with each other. The temperature of the reactant is raised by reaction heat and the reactant is aged and thereby decomposition reaction of impurities is caused and massive alumina composition is obtained.
