摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form an alignment layer which is less in defective alignment due to the sticking of a resin particulate or the breaking of a rubbing sheet by removing dust by reciprocally moving a dust remover in width direction of a rubbing roller along the surface of the rubbing roller. SOLUTION: During a rubbing process, the rubbing sheet stuck on a rubbing roller cylindrical shaft 3 is dust-removed from its surface by the dust remover 5 provided nearby the flank of the rubbing roller. The dust remover 5 moves in width direction of a rubbing roller along the rubbing roller. This dust remover 5 is moved reciprocally by, for example, a dust remover driving motor 4, a bearing disk 7 which is fitted in the dust remover and has its shaft fixed off the center, and a slide rail 6. As the shaft is rotated by the dust remover driving motor 4, the bearing disk 7 rotates on the shaft and the dust remover 5 moves reciprocally by the rotation on the slide rail 6.
