摘要：PURPOSE: To automatically perform applying of magnetic toner on a surface of a blade for layer thickness regulation in a developer corresponding to the developing roller to reduce friction with the developing roller by using a toner carrying/coating device. CONSTITUTION: A toner carrying/coating device 15 for supplying toner to the blade 5 of a developing device 1 is provided with an arm member 17 rotatable with respect to a main body and an electromagnetic member 25 placed at the tip of the arm member 17 via a magnetic force control member. The electromagnetic member 25 attracts and takes out magnetic toner from a toner container 11, power to be supplied to the developing dvice 1 carried by a conveyor 10 is stopped with the electromagnetic toner 25 pressed to the surface of the blade 5 and the toner is transferred to the surface of the blade 5. Also, by controlling the amount of power supplied to the electromagnetic member 25, a toner carrying amount is controlled.
