摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent glass member having a high-visibility information display section and high strength by forming the transparent glass member with a transparent glass having a light scattering region on at least part of the surface and a region with the light scattering property lower than that of the light scattering region on the other portion. SOLUTION: This glass member is made of a transparent glass or a lustrous transparent glass having a light scattering region or a delustered (ground glass- like) region on at least part of the surface and a region with the light scattering property lower than that of the light scattering region on the other portion. The information of the portion with the light scattering property lower than that of the light scattering region or the lustrous region or a delustered portion can be displayed in the light scattering region or the delustered region of the glass member. Even when information is written by laser radiation with such low energy that micro-cracks are rarely generated, for example, high-visibility information can be displayed by the contrast between the information portion and the peripheral portion.
