摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely maintain an entire nip part to be at target temperature during a continuous fixing processing period for the plural sheets of recording media by setting the plural ratios of energizing time from a commercial power source to each heating means within a normal period and switching the ratio in accordance with the number of sheets of the media where fixing processing is completed. SOLUTION: The ratio of the energizing time from the commercial power source to each heating means within the normal period for the fixing processing to the first recording medium of a series of the recording media consisting of one and plural sheets of the recording media is set in accordance with the length of the recording medium perpendicularly set in the carrying direction of the recording medium by an energizing control circuit 40. Also, an energizing ratio is switched to be either of plural energizing ratios previously stipulated in accordance with the number of sheets of the recording media where the fixing processing is completed during the continuous fixing processing period for the plural sheets of the recording media. Thus, the number of sheets of the recording media where the fixing processing is completed for the changeover of the energizing ratio is set in accordance with the length of the recording medium in the carrying direction of the recording medium detected by a size detecting means or the like.
