摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier drive unit, a belt tension adjusting method thereof, and an image forming device with a built-in image carrier drive unit in which a speed increasing flywheel mechanism using a belt device can be stably rotated, and in which rotation without fluctuation can be transmitted to an image carrier. SOLUTION: Rotation of a motor 36 is transmitted by gears 63, 64 to a gear 42 of an output shaft 39. A flywheel 60 is driven to increase speed by a belt 61 from the output shaft 39 to drive a photosensitive body. A bracket 55 to support bearings 56, 57 of a shaft 58 of the flywheel 60 is attached on an intermediate plate 51 for tension adjustment of the belt 61. A bearing part of a speed increasing flywheel mechanism and bearing parts of the gears 63, 64 are separated from each other, so effects are not given to the bearing parts of the gears 63, 64 even when large belt tension is applied. The flywheel mechanism is protected by a casing from disturbance, thereby the belt 61 will not slip to provide stable rotation of the flywheel 60.
