摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the driving characteristics by making a diaphragm for applying a pressure to each ink chamber of a conductive inorganic material, bonding a piezoelectric element to the diaphragm and forming a driving electrode on the piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 3 is bonded directly to the outside of a diaphragm 21 corresponding to each ink chamber 1 and a driving electrode 4 is formed thereon. Since the diaphragm 21 is made of a conductive inorganic material (volume resistivity: 1×10<-1>Ω.cm or below), it can also serve as a lower electrode. More specifically, when a constant voltage is applied to the diaphragm 21 and a diving voltage is applied to the driving electrode 4 on each piezoelectric element 3, the piezoelectric element 3 deforms to bend the diaphragm 21. Consequently, pressure in the ink chamber 1 increases to jet the ink through a jet port 6. Since the piezoelectric element 3 is bonded directly to the diaphragm 21, deformation of the piezoelectric element 3 can be transmitted well to the diaphragm 21 thus obtaining good driving characteristics.
