摘要：<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment which can be driven by a secondary battery even at low temperatures, and also provide a method for controlling a power supply of the equipment. SOLUTION: With a discharge temperature characteristic of a secondary battery 2 taken into consideration, the temperature near the secondary battery 2 is detected. In the case that the detected temperature is a low one below the ambient temperature TO (for example, 10 deg.C), a heater is driven to warm the secondary battery 2. By this method, even if the temperature of an electronic equipment 1 is low at the time of start-up of driving when an operator turns a power switch ON, the secondary battery 2 can be used at such a temperature that the optimum charge temperature characteristic is available. Therefore, the shortening of the time required for making the driving of the equipment available can be prevented.</p>
