摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a car navigation system in which snarl-up can be grasped easily upon receiving traffic information including traffic jam information. SOLUTION: Map information is read out and presented on a display 11 upon detection of the current position of a car. When traffic information is received and traffic jam information is included therein, or when the head position of snarl-up deviates from the displayed range of map information, a mark indicating the direction of traffic jam is put on the head of the map information and a snarling road is displayed in a mode different from other roads.
