SOLUTION: Freshness of fresh foods can be maintained by treating a food with a soln. prepared by the following method. This soln. in total 100 pts.wt. is prepared by mixing 0.001 to 10 pts.wt. cinnamic acid and/or cinnamic acid deriv. (such as p-coumaric acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, conifenyl alcohol, cinnamyl alcohol, p-coumaryl alcohol and phenylalanine), 0 to 0.3 pt.wt. polyamine, 0 to 1 pt.wt. surfactant (preferably sodium oleate), 0 to 10 pts. binder (preferably spermine) in a mixture solvent of water and alcohol (preferably ethyl alcohol in preferably 100:(25 to 400) weight ratio).</p>
