摘要：<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the rear wall surface of the trachea from damage caused by the top end section of an airway tube instrument to be inserted while incising a tracheal wall. SOLUTION: This airway tube instrument includes an air pass 10 and a trachea shield 20. This trachea shield is provided with a strong core rod 21 extended along the air pass 10 and a stopper 20 for limiting the insertion of the shield into the trachea at its instrument side terminal part. At its patient side terminal part, the shield 20 changes from a 1st dimension in the state smaller than or equal with the inside of the air pass to a 2nd dimension larger than the terminal part of the air pass 10 and sized enough for covering the main section of following walls of the trachea when the shield moves over this terminal part, and the rear wall surface of the trachea is protected from damage caused by the airway tube instrument to be inserted while incising the tracheal wall in the area where a shield member enters. A shield member 23 is inserted into the air pass 10 while being rolled or folded, and this member can be inserted and removed to the outside.</p>
