摘要:<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact and light-weight projector having high image quality by forming a color separation and composition section through combina tion of glass blocks of specified shapes formed by laminating on respective side faces dielectric multilayered films having transmission wavelegth charactesistics corresponding to the three primary colors, in order to let un wanted light to be emitted to the outside. SOLUTION: A color separation synthesis section is configured by adhering closely glass blocks 100, 101 whose bottom face is respectively quadrangular and pentagonal and a triangular glass block 102 which have a side face on which a dielectric multi-layer films 103A, 103B having a transparent wavelength characteristic with respect to a blue light and a green light are formed. A blue red light L41A, a green light 41B, and a red light L41C of an incident light L40 are made incident on spatial modulators 93A, 93B, 93C respectively through each glass block and reflected in them and synthesized to form a video light L43. Then undesired lights L50, L51 transmitted through or reflected in dielectric films 101A, 101B are made incident on a side face of the glass blocks at an angle of 30 deg.C or below and emitted externally. Thus, the color purity of a projected image is improved and high image quality is obtained.</p>
