摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an excellent image by accurately detecting the thickness of a transfer material and setting an optimum image forming condition in accordance with the detected result in an image forming device. SOLUTION: A paper thickness detection part S5 is constituted of a pair of rollers 56a and 56b interposing the transfer material P from both sides and a displacing amount detection means 100 detecting the displacing amount. The thickness of the transfer material P is detected based on 1st data before the rollers 56a and 56b interpose the transfer material P and 2nd data in a state where they interpose the transfer material P. At the time of consecutively forming the image, the 1st data concerning the first transfer material P for which many data can be collected is diverted for the 1st data concerning the second and succeeding transfer materials P, so that the accuracy of detecting the thickness of the second and succeeding transfer materials P is improved.
