摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of articles that can be printed, by a method wherein a printing blanket is formed of an outer film constituted of a substrate, an elastomer layer and a polymeric thermoplastic material and ink is applied to this blanket to be transferred onto the articles. SOLUTION: A printing blanket 1 used for a printing apparatus for transferring a plate-shaped pigment onto an article is constituted of a substrate or a printing carcass 2 and an elastomer layer 3. The substrate 2 comprises a plurality of piles including a bottom ply 4, two cloth layers 5 and a compressive layer 6 comprising a microporous structure containing closed or continuous cells, and a cloth layer 7 is provided on the compressive layer 6. The elastomer layer 3 is prepared by making an outer film 10 of poly(vinyl fluoride) or the like adhere to a nytril rubber layer 8 with an adhesive thermoplastic resin material layer 9 interlaid. This outer film 10 is fitted by cold rolling and it is provided on the elastomer layer 3 before vulcanization.
