摘要：PURPOSE: To make molten metal passing through a sprue difficult-to-cool and to obtain a casting having high quality by forming a heat insulating layer on the inner wall surface of the sprue. CONSTITUTION: The molten metal is supplied into a cavity 102 in a mold 10 from a holding furnace 60 through a storing tank 40 and a stoke 21. A ceramic layer 121 is arranged as the heat insulating layer on the inner wall surface of the surface 12 in the mold 10. Ceramic layers 22, 402, 412 are arranged as the heat insulating layers on the inner wall surfaces of the stoke 21 and the storing tank 40, too. The ceramic layer 121 in the sprue 12 and the stoke 21 are integrated. In order to form the ceramic layers 121, 20, 402, 412, the ceramic pipe is fitted into the stoke and the storing tank or the ceramic paste is sprayed. Since the heat insulating layer is arranged, the deterioration of the quality of the casting developed by cooling the molten metal in the spout 12 is eliminated.
