摘要：PURPOSE:To provide a reservation canceling device which can easily cancel a train ticket at the places other than the station windows by securing the on-line connection to a host computer, checking the reservation information on the ticket, and printing a cancel mark if the ticket can be canceled. CONSTITUTION:When a ticket 13 to be canceled is put into a slit by its user, the effective date, etc., of the ticket 13 are read by a ticket information reading part 9. Then a cancel deciding part 8 decides whether the cancelation of the ticket 13 is possible or not. If possible, the due guidance is shown to the user through a control part 11. Then the user inputs the necessary items based on the guidance and produces the cancel information. Then the user has communication with the host computer and receives the cancel result. The host computer retrieves a seat reservation file and applies the cancel processing to the contents of this file. Receiving the answer of the cancel result from the host computer, print part 7 prints a cancel mark on the ticket 13. Then a writing part 6 writes the magnetic data on the cancel mark into the ticket 13.
