摘要：PURPOSE:To make it possible to conveniently transmit a message by utilizing a facsimile by converting character information into character codes by mechanical recognition and calling a pager and transmitting the message to the pager. CONSTITUTION:This device has a facsimile interface circuit 11 inputting facsimile data from a telephone line, a memory circuit 12 storing inputted facsimile data and a character recognition circuit 13 converting character information contained in the facsimile data stored in the memory 12 into character codes by mechanical recognition. The device is provided with a transmission device 14 generating a high frequency necessary for a pager calling and for transmitting the message to the pager based on these character codes and an antenna 15 for discharging high frequency transmitted from the transmission device 14 as a radio wave in the air. Therefore, by using a facsimile and a telephone line, the pager can be called and information can be displayed on the display of the pager by the simple procedure which is transmitted to only the pager calling device.
