摘要：PURPOSE:To provide a reach type forklift which can turn with the exceedingly smaller turning radius than that in the conventional by positioning the turning center gradually toward the car body center, according to the handle operation. CONSTITUTION:Each load wheel is supported in steering enabled form on a straddle arm, and a means for detecting the steering angle is installed, and a drive wheel which can be steered by a handle and a means for detecting the steering angle of the drive wheel are provided. Further, each steering angle for the left and right load wheels is controlled so that the locus of the turning center point P of a reach type forklift 1 is allowed to pass through at least the min. turning center point S which is arbitrarily determined and the steering center points L and R of the left and right load wheels and gradually approaches the straight line K set along the car width direction which is arbitrarily determined, towards the outside of each car body from the left and right steering center points L and R and forms a curved line which is formed by smoothly joining these points.
