摘要:PURPOSE:To enable recording which is high in image density and high in a contrast to be performed by a method wherein a thermal recording material is formed by laminating successively a thermal coloring layer, a transparent intermediate layer, and a gloss layer of 60% or over in glossiness on a base material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording layer is formed by laminating successively a thermal coloring layer which contains a colorless, or light colored electron donative leuco dye, an organic acid material, and an adhesive as main components, a transparent intermediate layer which has a water soluble and/or water dispersion resin as a main component, and a gloss layer wherein gloddiness measured in accordance with JIS-P-8124 is at least 60% on a side surface of a base material. A dye coating amount in the thermal coloring layer should necessarily be 1.0 to 2.0g/m<2>. The gloss layer can be formed by applying a coating wherein a water soluble and/or water dispersion resin, a lubricant, if necessary, a coloring matter, a dispersant, etc., are joined. As the lubricant to be used for the gloss layer there are phosphate monoester, diester, etc., which are obtained by making ether type nonionic activator into phosphate ester.
