摘要：PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of error checking by executing a first error check based on an error check code, and also executing a second error checking which compares a record number with a record number in a directory. CONSTITUTION:Each record is divided into sector data with one section made to be a sector length, a control data containing a connection information between sector data in one record is prepared, and a unit data to which the control data and the error check code is added to the sector data is recorded in a recording area 13. When each recorded unit data is read out, a first error check based on the error check is executed. Also, a second error check is executed by extracting the control data from each read-out unit data, calculating the record number stored in the recording area based on the connection information in the control data, and comparing this with the record number in the directory. Thus, it can be judged that the error is generated in the connection information in the control data when these are not coincident, and the reliability of error checking can be improved.
