摘要:PURPOSE:To select each steering gear ratio of rear wheels according to road conditions and driver tastes, etc., by installing a manual selecting means selecting the characteristics of the steering gear ratio, and controlling the steering gear ratio variably as corresponding to one of plural steering gear ratio characteristics in accord with such a steering gear ratio as turning the steering of rear wheels to front wheel to the opposite phase. CONSTITUTION:A computer 33 or a steering gear ratio controller receives each detection signal from a car speed sensor 34 and a position sensor 35, feeding a motor 31 with a proper control signal conformed to a car speed. A sector gear 24 is rotated by rotation of the motor 31 via a worm gear 32, while a link member 21 as one body with this sector gear 24 via a pivot 23 is rocked, for example, to the lower part, and an arm member 17 is tilted so as to make a left end downward, thus rear wheels are steered in the reverse direction against that of front wheels. In this case, a steering ratio manual select switch 42 arranged with plural pieces of pushbuttons 36-41 is connected to the computer 33, and the chosen select switch 42 controls the steering gear ratio of rear wheels in conformity with plural steering gear ratio characteristics conformed to the car speed.
