摘要：PURPOSE:To simultaneously erase, record and reproduce information by using plural light sources having different wavelengths from one another as light sources dedicated to erasing, recording and reproducing and providing a wavelength selecting filter as a photodetector system. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 1 is provided with three semiconductor lasers for projecting luminous fluxes having different wavelengths from one another, which are used as the light source 1a for erasing, the light source 1b for recording information and a light source 1c for reproducing information and attached to a floating slider to be accessed to a recording medium 2. The photodetector system consisting of the wavelength selecting filter 3 and a photodetector 4 is provided on a side opposite to the optical head 1 by interposing the recording medium 2 between them and received light transmitted through the recording medium 2 to detect an information signal. Therefore, the photodetector 4 detects only a selected signal and the luminous fluxes for reproducing, erasing and recording are prevented from being mixed. Thus, the optical head 1 does not need a special condensing optical system and is made small in size and light in weight, so that high speed access is accomplished. Since erasing, recording and reproducing are simultaneously executed, the transfer speed of data is improved.
