摘要：<p>PURPOSE:To apply low frequency replacement for recovering vertical resolution without increasing the hardware by using a signal inputted to an inter-field interpolation means to apply low frequency replacement and applying the low frequency replacement to a still picture part only. CONSTITUTION:A movement signal 116 from a sampling rate conversion (D/D) circuit 18 and a low frequency replacement control signal from a terminal 24 are inputted to a maximum circuit 25. The circuit 25 selects a signal which is larger in 2 input signals 116, 120 and a selection signal 121 is inputted to a coefficient device 23 of a low frequency replacement circuit 20 as a low frequency replacement control signal. The level of the low frequency replacement control signal 121 is small in a part with a small level of the moving signal 116, that is, a still picture part. Thus, the multiplication coefficient of a coefficient device 23 approaches the unity (the coefficient approaches 0 when the level of the signal 121 is large). Thus, the output level of the coefficient device 23 is increased to apply low frequency replacement.</p>
