摘要：PURPOSE:To pull out a paper feeding cassette without hitting a paper feeding mechanism when the cassette is pulled out by turning on an auxiliary power source when a main power source is turned off during the operation of the paper feeding mechanism, and controlling so that the paper feeding mechanism is returned to an initial position by the auxiliary power source. CONSTITUTION:When a main power source switch 52 is turned off during the operation of the paper feeding mechanism S, the main power source stops supplying a current to a control circuit C. In this case, a CPU 51 instructs a control part 50 to cause a battery backup circuit 56 as the auxiliary power source to operate a standby means so as to actuate the paper feeding mechanism S. The CPU 51 detects the present position of a suction unit by a signal from the encoder of a motor which actuates the paper feeding mechanism S, and instructs the motor of the control part 50 to return the paper feeding mechanism to the initial position. In this way, the suction unit is always returned to the raised initial position when the main power source is turned off. Thus, a paper feeding cassette containing developing paper can be pulled out.
