摘要：PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of documentation by providing up and right repeat keys on a keyboard and freely expanding and contracting the character size of mathematic symbols upward and in the right direction to match the size of symbols to that of a numerical expression with an easy operation. CONSTITUTION:An input part 1A having a mathematic symbol key group besides a character key group of KANA (Japanese syllabary) keys, etc., and an operation key group and an up/right repeat key group 1B are provided on a keyboard 1. When the up repeat key is inputted in succession to a mathematic symbol from the keyboard 1, the lower pattern of the mathematic symbol is stored in the cursor position of a document buffer 3a of a RAM 3 and the upper pattern is stored in the position on the just upper row. If the up repeat key is next inputted again, the character on the cursor is copied on the just upper row and a connection pattern is stored. Thus, the mathematic symbol is expanded upward or in the right direction by the right repeat key to improve the efficiency of documentation.
