摘要：A motor-driven hand grinding apparatus (2) is guided, when performing the grinding work, by hand over the surface to be ground. In order to relieve the worker of the weight of the grinding apparatus when grinding surfaces which do not face vertically upwards, the grinding apparatus (2) is assigned a holding device (7) which has a suction cup (8), to be attached, at a distance from the grinding apparatus (2), to the surface to be ground or a neighbouring surface, and at least one holding bar (10) which is pivotably fixed to the suction cup (8) and projects away from the latter. The grinding apparatus (2) can be detachably fixed to the at least one holding bar (10). Furthermore, the distance between the grinding apparatus (2) and the suction cup (8) can be varied. <IMAGE>
