摘要：A wiping-off plate (1) equipped with at least one drainage opening (2) is arranged at the edge of a vessel containing a viscous liquid capable of dripping, e.g. a thick sauce. It is either firmly connected to the edge of the vessel or can be attached to this edge with the aid of supporting strips (3, 6). When ladling the viscous material out of the vessel, the lower part of the ladle is passed over the surface of the wiping-off plate (1) and is thus cleaned. The wiped-off material drips back into the vessel. The advantage of this device lies in the fact that the ladled material is handled economically and in that the surrounding area of the vessel is not dirtied by the drips of the viscous liquid. When using the device in the kitchen, a worker occupied with the cleaning of the plate edges can be dispensed with. The amount of kitchen linen used is reduced and an appetising, hygienic impression for the guest is achieved. <IMAGE>
