摘要：PURPOSE:To unify the effect of the horizontal deflection magnetic field on in-line electron beams by protruding nonmagnetic metal walls above and below the electron beam passing holes on both sides at a right angle to the bottom of a screening electrode. CONSTITUTION:A folded body 2 having nonmagnetic metal walls 2a at a right angle to the bottom 1b of the side wall 1a of a screening electrode 1 is spot- welded 3. Through holes 4a, 5a, 6a of the folded body 2 are made slightly larger than through holes 4, 5, 6 of the bottom 1b of the screening electrode 1 to prevent the electron beam focusing from being adversely affected regardless of some fitting error. According to this constitution, the strength of the horizontal deflection magnetic field affecting the electron beams on both sides can be properly adjusted in relation to the horizontal deflection magnetic field affecting the electron beam at the center, the mis-convergence caused by the eddy current is suppressed to the nonproblematic degree even if the horizontal deflection frequency is made high, and a high-definition image can be obtained.
